A little about me

I am a mental health social worker with experience supporting adults through some of life’s most challenging moments, including grief, trauma, mental health difficulties, identity-related stress, and major life transitions.

My approach is grounded in respect for each person’s story and an understanding that distress often exists within broader social, cultural, and systemic contexts.

Alongside my private practice, I work at Deakin University, where I support student wellbeing and facilitate a neuro-affirming program for students with ADHD. I also have a background in family violence and sexual abuse counselling, working with people who have experienced harm to rebuild safety, autonomy, and self-trust at a pace that feels right for them.

As a social worker, I approach therapy with a strong focus on social justice and systemic awareness. I understand how racism, discrimination, marginalisation, migration experiences, and intergenerational trauma can shape mental health and wellbeing over time. This perspective informs how I work with clients who may have been overlooked, misunderstood, or required to adapt to systems that were not built with them in mind.

My practice is inclusive and affirming. I have a professional interest and experience in supporting adults from culturally and racially marginalised communities, LGBTIQA+ individuals, neurodivergent adults, and those navigating complex trauma and minority stress.

Therapy with me is collaborative and compassionate.  A space to explore, reflect, and reconnect with your strengths.

Therapeutic Approach

I see therapy as a partnership, one where you feel safe, seen, and actively involved in your own healing and growth.

I tailor each session to meet your individual needs and goals, drawing on your strengths and honouring your unique identity, culture, values, and lived experience. My practice is inclusive, affirming, and flexible, adapting to support who you are and where you’re at.

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Trauma-Informed Treatment

  • LGBTIQA+ Affirmative Therapy

  • Neuro-Diversity Affirming Approach

  • Culturally Sensitive Therapy

  • Strength-based approach

  • Mindfulness

  • Psychoeducation
